Reconstruction of soft and hard tissues in the head and neck region is one of the key competencies of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The main indications are given in case of tumor patients as a consequence of ablative surgery. Furthermore trauma patients as well as children with congenital anomalies do benefit from innovative reconstructive surgery.
