After the principles in cleft surgery, secondary and tertiary procedures as well as orthognathic and aesthetic aspects were featured. Beside the theoretical lectures on anatomy and surgery, the focus was especially on the practical hands-on part in the form of fresh frozen cadaver preparations in the wet lab. For this event, SORG supported three maxillofacial resident surgeons from Eastern European countries in cooperation with EACMFS, making this outstanding course attendance possible and fostering OMF teaching and education for everyone.

"It is insufficient to describe in simple words how grateful to EACMFS, SORG and KLS Martin I am for the support in attending the 2020 SORG Cleft & Face Course at the Maastricht University Medical Center. 
As much as I am grateful I am also delighted having been a participant in a three day mixed lecture and hands on meeting covering a great deal of knowledge on cleft palate repair techniques, numerous local facial flaps and face rejuvenation procedures. The inseparable role of anatomy in planning and performing a surgical treatment was emphasized.
