With 114 attendees coming from 20 countries and 14 faculty members from 8 countries, SORG received outstanding feedback and regional Group Chairman Lim Cheung was very grateful for the positive outcome. “We added some local spices to the course concept”, he said in his farewell speech. Besides the steady European members G. Undt, F. Monje, A. Neff and A. Sidebottom (via online presentation), the regional speakers C. Yang (China), M. Esquillo (The Philippines) as well as the Malaysian surgeons R. Zainal, T. Abraham and S. Azlin Juliana contributed to the course.
Highlight was certainly the cadaver dissection during which all instructors received highest attention and lots of questions. The course concluded with the live transmission of an operation on an adolescent patient of Pruzansky Type III malformation who received a costochondral graft in order to establish proper chewing function.
